Hogwarts RPG Name: Norah Kittredge Seventh Year | Post 2 (2 pins) Lil' gooz | Sarangel | Junior Dweeb SPOILER!!: Brooklyn Quote:

She also wasn’t about to explain it. She didn’t do hyper bouncing around like the Puffs so often seemed to like doing. Some Gryffindors too, and even the occasional Claw or Snake. The Slytherins who did were usually first years, though, so they were allowed. But she didn’t do enthusiasm, not over things like this. She didn’t have a reason to. But she nodded as the older girl offered to climb into the ball first. It made things easier for her. “I’m okay with that.” She wasn’t even concerned over being able to roll the ball.
If others could do it, so could she. She didn’t leap over to the lane like Norah had, though she made it over in good enough time. There wasn’t really any rush. They’d already claimed the inflatable ball after all. “Sure,” she said, the tiniest smirk on her face as she zipped the ball up, effectively creating a Hufflepuff ball. At least that was amusing. A Hufflepuff ball that she was getting to push, and she’d hardly waited to find out if Norah was ready before she started down the lane. Getting enough speed up that the ball continued rolling rather straight toward the pins as she’d skidded to a stop just shy of the foul line. Before Norah could open her mouth to say 'thanks!' the ball was being zipped up over her head. Was that ENTHUSIASM Brooklyn just showed? Or maybe she just was really good at zippers. There was some kind of smile on her face so maybe she really was excited, even if it wasn't the biggest smile in the whole world it still counted for something. She put her hands up to give her partner a thumbs up just for luck, but was only halfway up when she was jolted forward and fell right on her face. Heh. Good thing it was a squishy ball and not a real bowling ball. With her face smushed to the front of the ball, she went round and round and round and round, not straight down the lane as she had before. The stumble at the beginning seemed to have directed her much further to the left than she should've been. Her attempt to lean to the right and get straight again wasn't working very well either, as each time she got close to the right position she was upsidedown all over again.
The end of the lane came much faster than she'd expected it to, and before she could pull herself much closer to the middle of the lane she was barreling over a single pin at the left, which fell sideways and knocked one other one down. Well. It wasn't exactly a strike but it was something, right? Hopefully Brooklyn wouldn't be too disappointed, especially because she'd just (kinda) smiled for the very first time.
