That had to have been rough too. "Well I bet your mom is awesome too then?" Milo added with a grin.
Ah yes, a pair of large vases so they could ditch the water without getting in trouble. "Sure, I could use some practice." Never could have too much that is. He crossed the corridor and fell into a cross-legged position on the stone floor and picked absently at the rug as he waited for Owen to join him. "Shall I go now then?" he asked, holding his hand out for the metal basin. Owen nodded at Milo and smiled. He was six when he lost a parent, eh? Owen couldn't even begin to imagine himself being in that position. Milo seemed like someone with a strong personality and Owen really appreciated that. To show this, he offered a closed first to his new friend. "For your father." ...His own father. Now that was a big no-care for him. It was safe to say that he harbored some unpleasant feelings for the man. And Owen didn't have unpleasant feelings. Tss. Anyway. "My mama's awesome, that's true. She's a chef. The best one!" Also true.
Following Milo's lead, Owen handed over the basin and sat down cross-legged across his friend. "Go ahead." He can learn from watching first.
