After Reagan's explanation Leo sat silent for a moment, sipping on his chocolate before he responded calmly his gaze on her. "I see. The meats presence was what made you uncomfortable because of a strong personal belief perhaps? Or because you want to avoid eating meat because you're a vegetarian? Or another reason entirely?" If Leo had known this before-hand he could have excluded the meat from the ingredients. He wanted all the eagles to enjoy the event not get uncomfortable enough that they'd want to leave. Turning his eyes to Daxton, he could have guessed on a hundred reasons for the eleven year old boys wish to leave the event. He would never had guessed on what came up on a fresh page of the boys notebook.
Hating people...Hating noise and food.
Staring he opened his mouth several times to respond but then closed it again. Sipping on his chocolate Leo gathered his thoughts. When he finally responded he hoped that the surprise he was feeling didn't colour his voice or body language too much. "I'm sorry to hear that but hate is such a strong word for someone that is still growing up. We want every student that goes to Hogwarts to be happy and get along with their peers and professors. Is there anything I can do to make your stay at Hogwarts and in Ravenclaw easier?" Sweet Merlin. Leo hoped he had said and reacted appropriately. He had not expected this. Especially from an 11 year old boy. SPOILER!!: Adelynn Quote:

You see, my parents never wanted me to bring one to school until I was teenager so that I could fully focus on my studies without being distracted by a pet." She said, thinking back to the lonely nights she would have at Beauxbatons without a furry friend. "So now that I'm 13, I was supposed to bring one this year, sir! But since it's my first year at a new school, my parents wanted to make sure I could take care of myself at Hogwarts before adding a pet into the mix." she added with a sigh.
Adelynn went over to the chair Mr. Kitridge had gestured at and took a seat. Her eyes turned a bit glossy as she remembered being sorted by the sorting hat. It was a moment she had spent the entire summer anticipating and it was everything she hoped it would be. "Oh, sir! It was..." she tried to think of the right word to describe it. "divine! It felt like the sorting hat was in my mind!" she said. "I was so happy to be placed into Ravenclaw. And when I found out that my Head of House was also the librarian I nearly fainted! You're like a real life superhero, sir!" she said with excitement. House pride and books were two of her favorite things.
She smiled at the sight of the green tea and cookies. She reached her hand out, taking the cup from Mr. Kitridge. "Thank you, sir." She said and lightly blew on the tea and took a sip. When Adelynn had explained her pet situation to him, Leo smiled warmly and replied. "You're parents seem to be sensible," His eyes automatically moved to his own curled up, sleeping kneazle before going back to the third year with sympathy. "I take it though that you miss your cat's companionship?" If she did it wasn't unnatural it was just what every young girl or boy went through. It was perfectly all right to get homesick. Even Leo remembered vaguely how he had felt in his junior years when he had been away from his family. "The sorting hat does posses some very strong magic so it's not entirely impossible that it actually took a peek into your brain and saw your inner most thoughts and desires." He pointed out. "But I'm far from an expert. I'm really glad you enjoyed the sorting experience though. It's supposed to be memorable." Leo said as he raised his cup to drink his tea. He almost choked on his tea though as he blushed in reaction to Adelynn's words. Coughing he shook his head in disbelief "Thank you, but I'm far from a superhero. I just work around books and try to help my eagles to the best of my abilities." If Cassie was there right then she'd probably say that he was being too modest but Leo had never really been comfortable with people giving him grand compliments. It just made him look for the catch. Taking a cookie from the tray he took a few bites out of it in between tea sips. "How's classes going? Have you made any friends yet?"
