It would have been a lie to say that Daxton was expecting to make it out of the classroom unnoticed. In his experience, teachers had a tendency to notice things; usually all the things he did not want them to notice. So he was unsurprised to find his process halted by Professor Moxley.

For a moment, Daxton was worried he would be forced to remain inside this room until the lesson period was over, but it soon transpired that that was not the case. He considered her words for a moment, before nodding his head. He did not know why she would want to talk to him at all, but saw no reason no reason not to visit her office as requested.

With no further acknowledgement, and certainly with no feelings of guilt, Daxton continued on out of the classroom, eager to leave before the noise level crept up any higher, and before he drew too much attention to himself from anyone else. She had, after all, said that he could leave. And so he did.
