With each lesson component that was mentioned, Daxton felt less and less enthusiastic, and he had hardly been pumped and ready to go from the start. He stayed put in his seat, not bothering to find a partner, and watching everyone else with no small amount of uncertainty etched on his features.
Could he just... go? Daxton looked back at the door and considered his options. He could just slip out now, while everyone else was busy. At the Ravenclaw party, actually asking had caused all sorts of hassle, and that was what made up his mind. Before it could get too loud - and the volume was starting to creep up - Daxton slipped out of his seat and headed silently for the door.
