He'd said something really really wrong and now she was mad and it was very difficult to talk her down when you had a talent for saying the wrong thing. Really, most times, he just ended up making it worse. A million times worse. Like now. Now was a pretty good example.

And he would never leave her for dead just because he was hungry. He had priorities! He would try save her first and then go eat with her after she was definitely safe. Honestly, he was pretty insulted that she would even suggest such a thing and it showed. She wounded him.
