Okay. She was the first to admit that she didn't always know the right thing to say or do, but she did know that sometimes all you needed to do was just be there for people. So, that was what she was going to do. To the best of her ability anyways. Yeah, the situation sucked, but Benny was still a good friend of hers, and the way he explained things
after she attacked him made sense. She could understand it. How could she fault him for that?
So, she didn't want to do anything, and AJ was kind of figuring this would be how she would react. This was the normal healing process, yeah? Sounded about right.
"Okay. Soooo, let's just hang out." Whatever it took. She would get out of this funk.
"Of course you will have fun again. I know it may seem like it now, but this is not the end of the world." In fact, Benny had done her a favor.
"What I got from Benny is that he does care about you and only wants what's best. " She had a point, promise.
"I mean, look at it this way... at least he let you know now instead of string you along. If you guys aren't meant to be then it's better to get out of it now." It could be worse. He could have waited years down the road and then broke the news to her. AJ was sure that would hurt way worse.
"You both deserve the best, and if that isn't with each other then let it go. You don't want to be with someone who is having doubts. You deserve better than that." Whoa. Maybe AJ wasn't that bad at this whole comforting thing after all.
