I don't think it's right to just...take points all willy-nilly though!" he used to HATE when professors did it, all those years ago, now. "I'm glad I will be able to GIVE points to students, though. A boost of confidence, it is." For the well-achieving student, it would be.
"And...I think it might have been on the theories behind Transfiguration...not so much any magical things..."
He peered around at the shelves, smiling at certain titles he thought might be interesting. "I'll have to check out some books. Some of these fascinating--I keep a very wide collection of books in my office--most of them, however, are centered around botany and Herbology."
Before they had made it out of the Restricted Section fully Leo turned on the silent alarm again. He did not want or need any students exploring around in there. His hope was that their will to break the rules and look around in there had turned to dust after the evil book's antics.

He was relieved to hear that he hadn't spooked Paul. As they left the section and headed toward the grand bookshelf section Leo nodded with a glance over at Paul. "Definitely, you shouldn't take points away without good reason to. The students will respect you more if you can justify why you deduct points." Especially when you were new too. You had to set your foot down and take your place.

Beaming Leo said "Yes, giving points is the best. It's a 1000 times better than deducting since its positive and boosting." It sadly didn't happen as much though. He shot a glance to the front desk as they walked noting that no student was looking for him.

As they got deeper into the grand bookshelves section Leo pulled out his wand and used it to set up a big sign in plain sight.

Satisfied Leo wondered if the students would see the fun and indulge him. Books were after all our friends. Turning to Paul he gestured around "You should browse around. I can help you look for something nice to read if you want? A story of transformation maybe?"
