Having his back to people always made Daxton feel anxious and wholly uncomfortable; it put him on edge, as he expected that someone might grab him, or come up and yell in his ear, or generally get up to no good. So once he was in the office, Daxton turned slightly so he could still see Baxter, but kept his distance. Finding no need for small talk or pleasantries (when was there any need for any of it?) he flipped through his notebook, found the page he needed and held it, and the stolen earmuffs, up so the teacher could read it.

'These block out too much noise and I want them to be a different colour.'

And that, essentially, was why he was here. To get the Charms teacher to do the magic for him.
