Right, Davie just needed to be more determined was all. More forceful with expecting magic out of his wand. Like him, it was proving to be a stubborn little thing.

"Finite," he stated clearly, watching as the drip stopped. Hey, cool! David looked over at Milo with a grin. "Oh, yeah, she was Headmistress. I'm glad she's not while I go here though. She's very strict and it would be weird if I were like, 'Hey, my mom's your boss,' to a professor or something." No, he very much wanted to be treated like everyone else. So anyway... "What do your parents do?" he asked curiously.

And without missing a beat, Davie went back to practicing. He moved his wand in the s shape again without as much hesitation. "Aguamenti!" A normal sized steam of water came out, FINALLY, and he yelped, "Finite!" so it wouldn't fill up his bin. Hehe. He could probably do the fire spell now. Look at all this water! It would be perfectly safe.
