He didn't wanna freak her out too much.

He saw Candice get onto the board and she was doing well so far. He nodded and began to say instructions, "Okay well I am gonna push you so you get a feel of the board. I am gonna hold your hands and I am gonna move you slowly to get the feel of the board." he said taking a step towards her and holding his hand out. "You ready for that?"
