Maggie literally AND figuratively did NOT care if the things were frogs or toads.
Her nose wrinkled in disgust when Flamsteed turned on the lights and she was finally able to look around properly. This was gross. So so so so so so so gross. Why had she been right? It was just like in the fairy tale. Only not really because doing it in real life was WAY grosser AND she wouldn't have a prince afterwards. Hmpf. All she got out of this was a stupid key.
She slowly let go of Zeke to have both hands free to be able to put up her hair. There was no way she'd let those hopping things get into contact with her precious hair. Once that was done, she looked around again, swallowed, was quiet for a long moment before finally looking at the professor again.
"Can we mark them somehow? Can we get like..." She had meant to say 'chalk' but since they were in water that wasn't happening. "Like....a....spray can?" Maggie was desperate and trying so hard NOT to freak out over this. If she had to do this she at least wanted to make sure she didn't kiss a toad more than once.
How this detention had RUINED Zeke's life Maggie wasn't sure but she didn't ask. Just gave him an unimpressed look.
