Detention. He was having his first detention. And of all the things he COULD have had detention for over the years, he had to be given one for snogging. Sheesh. What was worse, was that he was sure Emily would get wind of this, and he didn't much fancy finding out her thoughts on the matter.
Hands in pockets, and dressed in uniform - though he ditched the robes - Zeke shuffled down the corridor to the entrance of Dungeon Five. He wasn't sure what Flamsteed had in store for them, but whatever it was... it couldn't be all that bad.
The noises and the darkness of the dungeons didn't bother him, not even the screams which were very obviously made to frighten them. It would be illegal for them to inflict pain. And they knew who his mum was. He wasn't scared.
"Reporting for duty," he announced, standing idly for his instructions.
He hadn't seen Maggie yet, and had done a good enough job of avoiding her until now. Why couldn't she have just laughed this off with him, huh?
