He....was almost sure of it. Almost.
He wanted to touch the spines of some of the books..instinctively...but he refrained from doing so. This section was so creepy. But it was also...necessary. The students sometimes needed access to these higher level stuff. "Oh gosh...rule breaking...the thought of it makes me shiver--" which he was doing right now, of course, as if he were cold or something. "I'd hate to take points...oh, I dread that--I dread it so much--I hope I never have to take points from anyone---EVER."
Was that dramatic? Ahem. Leo shot a glance over at Paul with worry, he hoped he hadn't unnerved what he hoped was his new buddy too much. It wasn't his intent at all. It was just the whole section that made Leo extra cautions and on edge and he didn't want anything to happen to his new colleague and potential new friend while they were in there. Attempting to apologize and explain at the same time Leo said "Sorry Paul, it was not my intent to make you nervous at all it's just in here you can't be too cautious. The books can really attack you." "A book for transfiguration," Leo repeated as he started to lead Paul out of the section again. "Like about animagus transformations or something?" He wondered curiously but he wasn't expecting Paul really to remember since it was such a long time ago. Leo wasn't sure he himself what book he had loaned many years ago if someone had asked him.
Smiling Leo almost reached out to pet Paul's arm as he commented quietly "I think you have to prepare for yourself to take points from the students. They aren't perfect, they'll make mistakes and will most probably break rules that you'll need to deduct house points for as punishment. It's the only way they'll learn right from wrong. If it's any consolation I'm not a fan of deducting points either but if its warranted in a situation then I do it. Let's go check out the bookshelves next. I need to put up a sign there."
