He'd tried it once and it didn't work but he had to get it to work this time. The first planet to go had already went to Gryffindor and he couldn't leave the other Ravenclaws hanging.
As he pulled out a different marble from the first try (not that it would change the effect, he was just being superstitious) and let it hover as he pointed his wand at it. "Tikalas." He watched as a faint glowing gold band appeared around the marble and he shot it, weakly albeit, at the second planet.
It lazily flew through the air and eventually made contact with the sandy surface with help mostly from the planet's orbit rather than his shellwork.
