Post 4; Planet #3 (hit) be curious, not judgmental The planet kept changing its orbit, moving unpredictably, but Sophie kept swimming after it, determined to NOT let this one go. No, this one was going to be HERS. She wanted to see it became a RAVENCLAW CREST for the WHOLE WORLD TO SEE. Gryffindors weren't ALLOWED to get another one in her book, so it was Ravenclaw against the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs. She just had to make Ravenclaw's craters outnumber THEIRS.
How embarrassing would it be if the other three houses dominated a planet, but Ravenclaw didn't? What kind of leader would she be?
Not a very good one, she decided. She had to make sure they at LEAST got one. Just one. Right? Riiiiight?
At least she had some former Chasing skills to fall back upon from her Quidditch days AND from Gobstones, too. While she didn't get to THROW these marbles, at least her aim should've been PRETTY decent with this cool magical slingshot contraption sort of thing. That, plus her knack for playfully tossing things at her friends, like the jelly beans she used to bother the older Ravenclaw boys with back when she was a first and second year, should've been enough to ensure her some mighty fine shots.
Confident in her aim for these reasons, Soph kept tracking down the planet in question, surveying the amount of each house's craters on it - she didn't like the looks of the amount of blue, but she was optimistic that she could keep trying to make a dent, enough to overtake the other house's colors - and plucked another blue marble from her bag in her pursuit. Getting prepared to take her shot, Sophie put the marble at the tip of her wand, made sure to keep her expected trajectory aimed well at the planet - then, in a moment of impulsivity as the planet changed directions once again, cast "Tikalas!" as she pulled back the marble, the gold band sending it shooting toward the planet-- BOOOM! The marble JUST exploded against the planet as it had almost moved out of its trajectory, leaving a beautiful blue crater, and Sophie pumped her fist in the air in success... and also sighed in relief. Soooo close. So close. But persistence always paid off, didn't it? She was going to keep trailing this planet until it was RAVENCLAW'S.
Even though the Grey Lady thought Sophie Brown was highly unladylike and disapproved of the seventh year's whole life in general, Soph wanted her to SEE her now, fighting in SUCH AN UNLADYLIKE MANNER for the GOOD OF RAVENCLAW. That would certainly earn some credibility points back with her, right? Riiiight? House loyalty above being ladylike? Shouldn't THAT have been most important?
