It would have been easy enough to find the office even without Kitridge and Rea along with him. Despite it being the first day, Daxton had already discovered the location of the library and figured out exactly how to get there. It was only logical that Kitridge, as librarian, should have his office here.
When he reached the door, having said not a single word along the way, Daxton stopped. Opening doors was not quite as anxiety-provoking as knocking on them, but still. He would wait for Kitridge to do that part.
