He could tell her eventually when they really got to know each other. He chuckled at her response and thought it was clever. "Yeah true well a dude's gotta eat ya know? My mom even said a girl appreciates a man who can cook, fix a tire and do the laundry." He smiled when she settled on his nickname. "You still cool with my nickname for you?" he asked to be sure.
When she got the plates, he flipped three pancakes and put chocolate chips on them. He let them melt into the mix a little bit. "Do you want chocolate chips in your or you like them plain?" he asked. He was already making three chocolate chips one for himself but he would give them to her if she asked. "Now tell me about yourself Princess." He wanted to know a little bit about her.
Kate breathed a small sigh of relief. She had kind of regretting asking about Colt's mom, just in case something terrible had happened, but the question didn't seem to bother him too much. Good, Kate. You didn't mess that one up.
"So...who kept you at home while both your parents were away?" she asked, and again she reminded herself that she might be asking sort of personal questions.
"Sorry if I'm asking too much. You don't have to answer it. I'm just trying to get to know you better is all."
Kate nodded when he said a girl appreciates a guy who can cook and do laundry.
"Hmm. I have to admit that sounds like a promising picture," she said with a laugh. She raised her eyebrows in a questioning way.
"Nickname? Well, that depends on which nickname of mine you mean." Because he'd given her about three or four since they'd met.
"I definitely want chocolate chips," she said.
"That's the part I'm excited about the most." It sounded soooo good!
So he wanted a little about her...
"Okay. Well, I was born in Great Britain, but we moved to Oslo, Norway when I was really young, because my parents got jobs here. We only just moved back about three and a half years ago," she said.
