The Ravenclaw, let out a weak smile to the young Gryffindor and replied, "H-Hi... Marsha." He unraveled his blue tie and let it out to the girl, ready to have a red one. "Sure let's switch... and don't worry I'll return yours as well." Rory enlarged his smile by a bit, but somehow he felt still awkward when talking to another person, no matter younger or older. He was just plain socially awkward. Sigh.
Marsha smiled at him, a kind deep smile that showed she hadn’t even thought about laughing at him when he hadn’t realised how she knew his name. Lifting her hands up to her own tie, she pulled the knot apart before sliding it out from around her neck so that she could hand it over to the Ravenclaw. Taking his tie from him, she then repeated the process, this time reknoting the blue tie before slipping the end under her jumper.
WHEEEEE. LOOK, SHE WAS A RAVENCLAW LIKE UNCLE HARRY AND AUNT PARKER. WHEEEEEEEEE.
Personally, she thought he quite suited her red tie… BUT, did she suit being a Ravenclaw? Looking around, she tried to catch Roo or Lance’s eye to see if they liked seeing her in blue. Hehe.

Deezerz Glancing up at the clock above the entryway, Astrid clapped her hands twice to get the attention of the class. The door closed, hushing the sound from students out in the corridor. "Let's settle down, please." Her voice was clear and loud enough for the students to hear. It made her heart all warm seeing them interact (most of them), but it was time to go to business.
Walking back to the front of the classroom and leaning against her desk, she tugged at the tip of blue and bronze tie that was around her neck. As a former Gryffindor she had clearly switched ties with someone. The students wouldn't know that. "First, I want to welcome new and returning students to Charms Class. I, myself, am new to teaching at Hogwarts, but not the castle itself." Flicking her wand at the blackboard her name was written in neat writing. "I am Professor Baxter and as you may have all guessed, I will be teaching you Charms." How exciting was that! "I would like to thank all of the students who followed directions and participated in the activity. It was nothing to be alarmed about." She smiled reassuringly and kindly at those she noticed flip about the rules and at those who did great and followed through. "A brief advice, if you'd like to earn full credit in my class read the rules and follow them appropriately." They were simple enough, yeah? They were early childhood level. She thought so, and she wanted them to all earn full credit. And now they couldn't say, 'but you didn't tell us thaaat!' because she just did.
With another smile, Astrid pushed off her desk and wandered toward the front desks, pausing. "To get this lesson started, I would like you to pull out a piece of parchment and write a paragraph on what you know about charms and what charms you would like to learn about. It's a way for me to get to know you." Because Merlin knew just how much office time she had (she would make as time as she could) but she was sure they had other lesson things that needed their attention as well. This was the best way to get to know them and to warm up their brains and get working. "You have ten minutes." And go!
Turning to listen to the Professor as she started the lesson, Marsha made sure to pay attention to the first things that she said. They were usually the most important - especially for new Professors that they hadn’t been taught by before. Silently, she wondered if Professor Baxter would make them get up and run around like Professor Quiggley always did. Oh man… She shouldn’t start the year off by comparing the Professors - but she really did miss Professor Quiggley’s lessons… especially if he was in cat form. She’d even gone down to the kitchen to get some green apples before she remembered that he wasn’t her Charms Professor any more.
So now, she was here and listening and paying attention. Yup. Yes she was! So much so that she would pay attention and write her Charms paragraph and then look over Lanc-.... oh. no. She couldn’t help him as he was all the way over there. Darn. She’d help him later. Yes, yes she would.
There… done. Now, to wait for their time limit to finish so they could move on again.
