Maybe it was just because the toad hadn't been around him lately as opposed to his human dormmate.
As he readied himself and waited on his race companion, he watched his friend get comfortable. "Yeah she probably could. Though how do a toad and an owl deal with puppets?" Much less speak out their problems to each other, even though the two of them always seemed to have this way of understanding each other's hoots and croaks.
When Gus was off with a hop hop, Benny took a hop of his own, pushing off the ground with his hands and his feet and landing several inches away. The seventh year repeated the process, trying to keep track of his toad companion as he did so to avoid landing on him. Hop hop went the lion turned amphibian along the ground as Adi watched them from his spot on the ground.
"I wouldn't really mind,'' Adi said.
"Or maybe I will.'' Hmmm. Yes, he would mind.
"I wouldn't mind if he likes both of us the same amount though.'' Yep! That sounded better! The boy, after all, brothers from other mother so yeah. Even the love, Gus!
"He probably got extra attached to you after last term. You know... when you didn't trust me.'' Squint, squint at you, Benny. Adi had a feeling he would never let Benny forget that. Okay, maybe in the future but today was definitely not the future.
"I just need food now to make myself happier.'' A toad/human hopping race with food. Mhmm! But as for now he would have to do without food and rely on the delicious Froggies he had. Omnomnom.
"I have no idea.'' Hehe. That was amusing, the thought of Gus and Conrad with puppets.
"I have a feeling they might not need them unless Conrad decides to not want to talk about his feelings like his owner.'' Adi innocently eyed Benny as he took a bite of the Frog's chocolatey head.
....................
Adi watched his two friends take off hopping as he nommed contentedly. Gus was doing his best, hopping away super fast. Benny wasn't doing bad either though he seemed to be hooping a bit more cautiously.
"GO, Benny! GOOO, Gus!'' Woohoo! Cheerleader Adi was there to encourage!
