Let's see.
"Well i think Fanged Geraniums are pretty cool or Chinese Chomping Cabbage."
Both from what Dante had randomly read about Herbology sounded interesting and not too dangerous for his year.
"Well so far i am liking Charms and Transfiguration. But i don't know"
Potions was a no because he could just not concentration in that class and sorry Professor Bright and Shiny. He only had a slight interest in Herbology.
Everything else was meh to him.
Paul agreed, and nodded.
"Anything with fangs is interesting, especially in the plant world. Plants seem so passive, don't they? Well--ha! Some of them will eat you up for dinner." He chortled at the idea and just tapped his fingers on his desk. He had met with so many students today, talked with so many...it was tiring, but a good experience. He'd probably need a nap after this...or something.
"Charms and Transfiguration are good, and important, too." He said with a nod.
"You'll have a niche eventually."
Now, he yawned.
"Is there anything else you'd like to know or ask or just chat about?" He could go for..another half hour if needed.

The first year also approved of the way Myers was going to handle his article idea. "I will do this for you, sir," he answered very seriously. "I look forward to the challenge." He could have this book and read and written up in a matter of weeks days if he got ambitious enough about it.
The Chinese Chomping Cabbage... blah, that was just a vegetable, not a hybrid or crossbreed. Davie might have wrinkled his nose a little. Oh, so greenhouse FOUR held all the interesting ones? Eh? His ears were listening now, certainly, and Davie liked that some of his mother's famous gillyweed was still in a greenhouse.
"Okay, I guess there's some good things out there..." He offered the professor a small smile. "You really don't mind my borrowing your book?"
Paul smirked.
"You must be a Ravenclaw." He squinted at the kid's robes....colors....they all ran into each other later. His eyesight..maybe he needed glasses.
"I was a Ravenclaw." He always got such surprised faces when he revealed that tidbit about himself. He wondered what house people thought he should be in???? Hmm.
"There are...and I plan on getting more--" he opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a notepad.
"I have a list here--well, I'm STARTING a list here--anything you'd like to see?" He'd do his best to take suggestions from students about the plants...even about stuff they might want to cover. After all, he was teaching for them, not for himself.
"And no, of course not! I have plenty other copies--at home, of course, but I have them." And his parents also had copies, too. So there, no big deal, Mr. Truebridge.

Zander let out a thoughtful hum. But guess somethings just never change, huh? "Uh, no offense Professor... But that's kind of a lot to hope for... There's never a calm, relaxed year at Hogwarts," it was only the truth. And if the man hadn't just told Zander that he was an alumni himself, Zander would've assumed he was new. Though, he was pretty sure the Headmistress used to say something about hopes for a 'quiet year' during her speeches at the beginning of the term. So maybe being optimistic was like a requirement or something.
"Well you've passed most of my tests, sir," he nodded. But he'd just have to wait until the first lesson to see how he did overall. 'Cause the interrogation was only step one tbh. "Thanks for letting me stop by though," Zander ran a hand through his hair. Man. Talking to Professors was the worst. It's like trying to talk to an ALIEN. "I know there's a train of people waiting to talk to you outside... So I guess that's all I wanted to talk about today, but I've got a few more questions I'll have to ask some other time...If that's cool with you?" He slowly got up from his chair... Could he go now, or did Myers have some interrogation of his own to do? How did this stuff even work?
Paul just......smiled.
"Well. Maybe..a calm and relaxed year..for Hogwarts? Eh? We can always try." It did seem there was always something going on...the
Prophet in the last year...just a FIELD day with Hogwarts' coverage.
Haha! Most of his times! Bless him! Paul laughed at that.
"Most of them! Well bring on the other ones, I'm ready, Mister Adair!" he said good-naturedly. As the boy stood up, so did Paul, and he started towards Zander, resting a hand on his shoulder
. "Stop by any time...make appointment with me for whenever...and wherever. I'm happy to leave my office for...a chat. I do enjoy being outside." His smile was warm, and he pat Zander's shoulder once before gesturing at the door.
"After you--and yes--a train of people that I must attend to--" He sighed. Students were so eager....it was refreshing...
He was tired.
