He wondered if having a spinny-chair race against a colleague would be frowned upon....
Ahem. "I don't think it will be. All I do is make sure the articles are approved and whatnot--appropriate for the Quill, etc. I would greatly appreciate the effort," Paul was smiling a lot...but his heart was so warm at this prospect of a student taking an interest in his research...it was exciting.
Hmm. Paul grabbed his binder where he kept inventory of all the plants in the Greenhouses. "Well...it looks like...hmm. Some Chinese Chomping Cabbage--" Paul kind of liked those, they were cool. "In Greenhouse Two...Greenhouse Three has has some SCREECHSNAPS!" Paul liked those, too. "Four has the most difficult stuff--like Devil's Snare, Venomous Tentacula...I should get some more plants to put in all of the Greenhouses, though. A few of your mother's remaining Gillyweed stuff is there, too." He finished with a firm nod. He was going to take Davie's suggestion into consideration! That was pretty cool, for a professor. "Alright," Davie nodded sagely. Sounded like a good plan, Stan. The first year also approved of the way Myers was going to handle his article idea. "I will do this for you, sir," he answered very seriously. "I look forward to the challenge." He could have this book and read and written up in a matter of weeks days if he got ambitious enough about it.
The Chinese Chomping Cabbage... blah, that was just a vegetable, not a hybrid or crossbreed. Davie might have wrinkled his nose a little. Oh, so greenhouse FOUR held all the interesting ones? Eh? His ears were listening now, certainly, and Davie liked that some of his mother's famous gillyweed was still in a greenhouse.
"Okay, I guess there's some good things out there..." He offered the professor a small smile. "You really don't mind my borrowing your book?"
