He thought for a minute. "I suppose you could read it, m'boy. And if you hate it...well...wouldn't that be unlucky." He chuckled. "It's already been well received by the community, though, so....even if you hate it, I'll be okay. But I'd love it if you did a review...it'd be truly wonderful--and yes--we DO have a newspaper--I actually am working with Mr. Kitridge as one of the advisors for it!" He was excited because the Quill had been around when he was at school...well...had it? He couldn't actually remember that far back...
OOPS? "I plan on getting some eventually. It's easy enough to get them to fit into the budget, yes." He was aware of the process, Mr. Truebridge. "I may even teach a few lessons on cross-breeds. Who knows! Life's a book here, isn't it?!" He smiled at what he apparently thought was a really wise thing to say--but indeed, PAUL'S life was a book still being written, at least for him, and teaching at Hogwarts was sure to be one heck of an interesting chapter in it. "The feel of your office?" Davie tilted his head at that puzzling phrase. How could an office have a feel? Or feelings? It was an inanimate object, was it not? "I think your office would feel fine with it, because you'd be feeling happier being able to spin around, and uh, uh then your office would be permeated with these happy feelings...." So, in conclusion, just buy a spinny chair already.
How could Davie hate a book? Not possible. He tugged this one, in fact, into his lap, even though it fell with a bit of a thud that made his thighs sting. WORTH IT, because BOOKS. Also, Myers was an adviser for the school paper?! "If it won't be a conflict of interest, sir, I will certainly write a review for you and this book." Davie took reading nonfiction very seriously, so he could be trusted as an authority-expert on the topic of books.
Davie was not pleased with this carefree, who knows? la de dah attitude in regards to Herbology and cross-breed plants, however. It was evident in his face that he wanted Myers to make up his mind about storing some dangerous but useful ones in the greenhouse already. Shaking his hair out of his eyes a bit, Davie sighed. "Is there anything ELSE interesting in the greenhouses right now?"
