"Welcome to the Great Kitchen of Hogwarts! My second favourite place." he said beaming at the first years. "Come on now, let's sit down and get something heavy to eat." Ethan gestured the boys inside, sat down on one of the benches and waved at one of the passing house elves. "Four breakfast plates please? Thanks!" He wasn't too sure if it was Toddles he saw.
But anyway, while they waited for their food, "So, are there any questions so far?" he asked, grinning at the tiny snakes. Was he that cute when he was little?
Tom thought the whole thing was absolutely brilliant: tickling the pear, the five tables matching those in the Great Hall, the countless house-elves running around. There was a distinct bounce to his steps (though only a little one) as he followed Ethan to a table.
He had hundreds of questions in his mind, but he managed to get it down to a few.
"Are we allowed to come in here whenever we want? Will you show us where the library is? Oh, what about the secret room where the Hogwarts Defenders stayed during the last year of the war?" There was just so much he wanted to see at Hogwarts! He doubted whether he'd have time to see it all in his first year, in fact.
