A voice brought her back to the present. AJ hoped the person speaking to her knew that they would be playing tetherball with her. She looked up to see who the voice belonged to since she hadn't really been paying that close attention with the decision making process happening at the same time.

Benny! "Hey yourself!" It had been awhile since she had actually seen or talked to her older friend. The teary eyed Angel wasn't even registering in her mind right now with all the the cool stuff to play with at her very disposal. Not that the sisters had a chance to talk about it at all.

"Let's play tetherball. I have to warn you though that I'm really good." Plus, being low to the ground really helped with things. Benny's awkwardness didn't even register to her. In fact she hardly ever noticed things like that because he had been shy since the beginning.

She returned the greeting all fine and dandy and Ben watched and waited for some kind of further reaction to his presence. Something most likely negative given how he had treated her sister at the very start of term. Surely they had spoken about it, or Angel had gone to her for support or something. However whatever possible answer he could have probably tried to predict, when AJ continued speaking it was of something he hadn't imagined.

Tetherball.

She wanted to play tetherball with him?

"Um...I guess we can play," he answered, fighting the urge to raise an eyebrow and eye her. Hopefully this wasn't just an excuse to do something that was going to pay him back for the break up. For some reason, Benny wouldn't put it past the younger lion to be that creative in her behavior. "I stand warned." And curiously cautious at the same time. With that being said, he walked in the direction of the tetherball pole, waiting to allow her the first move.
