Hogwarts RPG Name: Amur Neverwinter Fourth Year | ~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~ Quote:

Hello professor," he gave his pleasantry smile and ducked his head in the bookshelf one last time before emerging with a third book. "Great timing, I was just about to make myself some tea and open that box of biscuits my daughter sent. Would you like to join me?" He was at his desk on top of the small stairs, dropping off the three dirty books for later. Botros pushed back his glasses on his nose, to look at the young man clearer. Had he not spent a good decade as an Auror, Sabel likely would have actually popped out of his shoes with the jolt of surprise that came with the Headmaster's sudden appearance. As it was, the start was fixed into a somewhat bewildered blink. "Headmaster."
Had to give him credit. He was pretty spry for an old guy.
But then there was the issue of tea. Why was it always tea? Perhaps because it was more soothing than coffee, and therefore more appropriate to civilized conversation.
Needless to say, it would be both rude and unproductive to decline. That, and a hot drink might go down well at this very moment. "A man can hardly decline such a generous invitation."
Especially when it was cookies sent from his daughter. While his own wasn't quite old enough to do such things on her own, Sabel could imagine that each of those biscuits would be like gold. Curious though, it made him realize he hadn't thought much about the Headmaster's family.
Moving up to the desk, Sabel gave the books a curious, sidelong glance. "Decent summer, Sir?"
No need to rush the pleasantries. Especially if there was tea on the table.
