This is not to say that she hadn't had any contact with them - she sent like FIVE letters back home already, and received a few back. But it was different not being able to go across a hallways and have both her brothers in one place. Olly being in Slytherin was HARD, dude.
She climbed up about halfway, clinging to the ladder and her letters. She heard what sounded like footsteps up in the treehouse, but instead of leaving, she actually WANTED human to human interaction. So she climbed up, swung a hand onto the floor, and grunted. "Brother, help me," she said to the unknown person. Hopefully they would say "long live the king" and quote some more Lion King with her. She wasn't in the mood to fall. Maybe he could even take a NAP here on this floor. Davie hadn't taken a nap in a long time, not since he was like a little kid, and no one was around to disturb him, like in the comm----
Just kidding, someone WAS here to disturb him. Leaning up on his elbow at the call from below, David eyed the hand and the address as brother. Should he respond? Should he just free the hand and let the grunter fall? The ground beneath the treehouse was probably charmed to be bouncy anyway. The person really had nothing to worry about, but freeing their hand would require him to get up, and he didn't really feel like doing that yet, and even if he did, what if they came back up the ladder to get revenge on him?!
So instead, he plopped back down and stared up at the roof of the treehouse, responding with a lazy, "I'm an only child, actually."
