Either way, knowing that SOMETHING was in store, without knowing what it was, was eating him alive.
As it was, he was here, at the place and at the time which was negotiated with one Maggie Traulton. Now all he had to do was wait. The fact that the common room was but a stone throw away was as much a blessing as a curse. He was here on time - early even, but with that came the task of standing idle... and he hated standing idle.
Leaning against a section of the wall, lazily trying to make SOMETHING of the star chart hanging there, Zeke passed time. Seconds, more seconds, minutes even. Who really knew? Time was irrelevant. Maggie hadn't had time to change out of her school uniform since she'd headed upstairs right after class. After having finally made it to the Astronomy Tower, she paused for a moment to run her fingers through her hair and brush down her skirt. Luckily she was in shape so she didn't have to fear to appear out of breath or anything. No flushed cheeks either. Not yet.
She'd walked the last few steps up to the observatory, quietly and slowly. Magdalena was exactly ON time. She wasn't late. Nope. A Maggie Traulton is never late, nor is she early, she arrives precisely when she means to.
When she finally spotted Zeke, her lips curled into a small smirk. He was waiting for her. It was an oddly satisfying thing to know. "I'm here!" Maggie announced somewhat smugly, taking another couple steps closer to the Gryffindor. Yep. She was. Hi. |
