He KNEW the Fat Lady would stall, which was why he was only too happy to hang back in the Great Hall and stuff his face with cake some more before dragging himself up the too-many flights of stairs which led him to the entrance to the Gryffindor common room. He managed to miss whatever had transpired and followed through the arch behind some others.
Professor Airey's greeting however, was not missed, and he couldn't help but stifle s short chuckle. Nothing had changed over the summer. Nope. Save for the cobwebs, and he hoped those would be a thing of the past. He gave nods to those he knew well enough (Benny, and the others he'd seen at the feast), but made a beeline for the food things.
"Howdy, Professor," he greeted as he helped himself to two marshmallows before allowing himself to melt into the folds of the couch. Comfort was where he was at right now. "Nice suit by the way, new?"
