Goodness.
They certainly were a very talkative bunch, Adelaide was finding it hard to speak up with so much going on, and indeed, it seemed that every time the young lady had begun to open her mouth to interject, another of Thornton's friends had piped up.
She cleared her throat, trying to brush away her self-conscious feelings and her mild anxiety. Addie smiled at her brother as he offered to show Dima to his room, but she found herself much more inclined to Paige's idea. "I think a tour would be best, if we all scatter off now we won't find time for it later." She said, nodding softly. "Thornton." She glanced to her cousin, addressing him warmly. "Please see who's at the door and then meet up with us?" It would be easier that way.
Stepping past the others, Addie took a little breath to calm herself. "Please follow me, we'll start with the second floor where the bedrooms are and work through the rest." She thought fleetingly to herself that this would have been much easier with Cassius with her. The boy was so talkative and charming, with such an ease to him... He would have made up for her more quiet self.
He also would have distracted her so much that she might not have been able to be as congenial she ought to be.
Perhaps it was a good thing.
