It was easy enough to blame the humidity, which had caused her hair to stick uncomfortably to her neck and forehead. Sweating wasn't usually so bad. Anika would've been completely fine if she'd managed to keep busy...but with nothing to do, the heat was ALL she could think about.

Anika was wilting. Like a lovely iris flower...or some OTHER flower.

At one point, her forehead hit the counter with a dull smack!. If only she'd been in a more private place, she could've meditated. Finding peace within always helped with the irritation and frustration...but alas, WORK.

Not being able to stand it any longer, she'd escaped to the break room to cool off...but as things usually went, the moment she'd gotten comfortable, the bell at the door had dinged! With her positivity deciding to peek through (despite her bothersomeness), Anika put on her best smile and went to busy herself with offering help.

"Sir!" It was, perhaps, more pleasant than was necessary. "May I help you?"
It seemed like the place was deserted, which was fine for Camden. He could just attach his messages himself to the various owls and send them on their way. For free. It wasn't illegal, so long as you didn't get caught. And could plead ignorance. Who was to say he wasn't going to drop the money in the till on his way out?

But nevermind, because there was a girl working the counter. A woman, actually. A very pretty one, in spite of the fact that it was too hot to flirt and he didn't normally go for wholesome, girl-next-door types. They generally were about as fun as his mother's neighbors, who actually DID live next door.

"I have six letters to send. Addresses are already on each. I don't suppose you have a bulk discount?" He flashed a quick smile. She was really the best thing he'd seen all day. "I'm Cam."
