WAND WAND WAND! Now this was the moment Olly had been waiting for. His entire life had been leading up to this exact moment, and that was not an exaggeration. He would finally be able to do magic. MAGIC!!! He entered the store with his dads and Colin close behind. Ellery was off somewhere doing who knows what. Olly hadn't really been paying attention because he had been completely focused on the prospect of getting a wand.

Olly held out his arms and let the measuring tape do as it wished. He didn't pay much attention. What did it need to measure anyway? He didn't understand wandmaking at all, but he didn't need to so it didn't matter. Instead, he spent most of his time looking around at the others waiting to get their wands. There were so many other first years! They all looked just about as excited as he was. Hurry up wand people. Olly wanted his wand now.
