Although she is known by Ivy Knox, she was actually born as Mallory Joan Roberts to her mother and father: Joan (squib) and Wilson (muggle) Roberts. She lived in Liverpool, England until her father kicked them out when she was two. Her mother decided to try out a new life in the United States and moved into an old, poor trailer park in Riverside, California. Four months later, Joan remarried to a grubby, greedy, questionable cat hoarder by the name of Charles Berkeley.

Her childhood was rough, to say the least. She went to muggle schooling and hated nearly every moment of it. She never fit in, she didn’t like any of her fellow students or her teachers. She did well in most of her classes, but she did not enjoy herself there. However, things got pretty bad at home. She soon felt safer at school than she did at home, but that wasn’t saying much.

Ivy never wanted to go to the wizarding school in California. She wanted to get as far away as possible. Which is why she got acceptance letters to both Los Angeles Wizarding Academy and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, her mother and stepfather refused her to go to either place and make her stay in the lousy public schooling in Riverside.

Things at home continued to get worse until Ivy was 14 and finally decided to run away from home with all the money she could steal scrape up. Before she did, there were a couple things she had to do. Before she left, she legallyish changed her name to Ivy Mallory Knox.

From all the money that mysteriously disappeared from her parent’s and friend’s wallets, she was able to buy a one-way ticket to London. By fall of 2057, Ivy was attending Hogwarts as a fifth year Ravenclaw. Once in Hogwarts, Ivy did exceptionally well in classes. She loved the school, she appreciated her teachers, and she thrived on things they taught. One might say she was a completely different person...

Ivy was still very reserved. She only spoke to those who might be of use to her. She made a couple friends, but she never trusted them. Ivy never trusted anyone, really.

Ivy did well in all of her classes, but did exceptionally well in herbology, potions, and transfiguration. During the summers between school, she would take private lessons for alchemy and also did exceedingly well. She graduated from Hogwarts with eight NEWTS (Potions, Herbology, DADA, Charms, Divination, CoMC, Arithmancy, Transfiguration).

After Ivy graduated college, she went on to study at the Wizarding Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland, receiving a degree in Herbology. She also studied Alchemy a little bit before graduating. After graduating from Wizarding University at age 23, Ivy then moved to Egypt and studied Alchemy in more depth at the Egyptian Centre for Alchemical Studies. Ivy learned fast and did exceptionally well. She studied Magical Metallurgy for quite some time until she was able to turn metal into gold. Once she mastered that, she moved on to the Spagyrics side of things and began working more with plants, which she liked much better than metals.

After four years of studying and working hard at the Alchemical Centre, Ivy’s professors were impressed with her work and her knowledge and she became an assistant teacher to students just beginning at the school. After a total of six years in Egypt, Ivy longed for a change of scenery and moved to Athens, Greece to study Herbology more in depth, Mediterranean Herbology specifically. She attended Athens Academy for Herbology in 2060 . The following year, she was hired as a lecturer at Athens Wizarding Academy for Advanced Charm Theory, Advanced Transfiguration, and Magical Metallurgy. In 2075, she became a professor at the Athens Wizarding Academy and taught Advanced Herbology, Applied Spagyrics, and Applied Magical Metallurgy for four years.

Since 2065, Ivy has made her own herbal teas. As a side job from her academic career, she sells these herbal teas to her ever-faithful customers. Her small business has become quite successful and she has been able to make quite the living off of her tea and her teaching. She continues to grow her own herbs at her home. Ivy continues to study Alchemy on her own time, always trying new things and hoping to learn more and more everyday.

Ivy recently, err... left her positions at Athens Wizarding Academy to focus on her private herbal tea business and running for the Hogwarts Board of Governors. She was elected as a member and serves on the board currently.

After the tragic, terrible, unfortunate break in at the Hogwarts Board of Governor's vault in Gringott's that Ivy had absolutely nothing to do with (don't be absuuuurd!), Ivy so kindly offered to help Headmistress Anastasia Truebridge out at the school by teaching Charms for the 2080-2081 school year.

After an eventful and painful year dealing with dementors, Ivy ran away from Hogwarts as fast as she could with... a special friend of hers. And now she is happy and that is all you need to know.
