A little bit of Botros. :3 be curious, not judgmental Sophie Brown had been taking advantage of the empty waterslide making sure everyone got herded to the bonfire area as dusk came along, and she arrived at the big gathering juuuust in time to hear the headmistress announce the beginning of her speech. Soph casually kept creeping in the background - she wasn't just going to stop what she was doing to listen in this informal setting - and helped herself to a mug of hot chocolate as the woman spoke. Yeeeah, yeah, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff were always the winners, and none for Slytherin or Ravenclaw, bye. Sophie forced a pleasant smile regardless, though, because that was what a good student leader did, right?
Next term. Next term was going to be THEIR term. It was time.
Sipping at her hot chocolate, Sophie continued paying the headmistress just half of her attention - she was listening to what the woman was saying, but she was also letting her gaze wander over those who were on the blankets, those who were congregated in random groups, and her gaze had just fallen over on Zander and Tia, when-- the headmistress announced her RESIGNATION? Whaaaaaaaaaat? For REAL? But... wait - BOTROS WAS GOING TO BE HEADMASTER? AND Truebridge was leaving in the wake of the acromantula attack... but she was sending one of her children here? What in Merlin's name... Sophie wasn't even going to try to understand, no. Information OVERLOAD, but more than anything, Soph suddenly had something URGENT TO SAY.
So, once the speech was over, the sixth year made a beeline for Botros, who was just getting up and seemed to be headed for the Headmistress - but the Ravenclaw hurried up beside the Runes professor before he got there and excitedly whispered to him, "All hail King Botros."
And then she hurried away, some hot chocolate spilling out of her mug and onto the grass as she went to find one of those big cozy blankets to wrap up in before she'd go join her boyfriend, a huge smile on her face the whole way.
