Thornton admittedly felt a bit... out of sorts at the bonfire. Had felt a bit out of sorts the last few days, truthfully. He hadn't partaken in any of the festivities offered, not really feeling in the mood, and had instead just taken a bit of a walk around, keeping toward the edges. He was caught up in his own head, gravitating toward the other students after the fire was lit solely because wandering off into the dark didn't seem terribly smart.
And so when he sat down next to Dot, he was paying almost no attention to where or near whom.
