Thing was, there weren't many places in the Ministry where one could catch a few zzz's without catching a few demerits against one's career. The evidence room, however, was upon first glance and second apprasial, a mighty fine place. The door handle was almost as dusty as a lot of the files lying about. And there were plenty of boxes to prop up into a makeshift bed, and to hide behind should a working soul come in.
It so happened to be the case that Rhydian Blackhold was in the middle of a rather restful cat-nap, when he heard the door open, close and lock. Hat over face, head resting upon a low stack of files and feet propped up on a box, he was in a rather comfy position. So comfy in fact, that moving didn't occur to him until he heard the footsteps come ever closer.
When they turned down his asile, it was no longer a matter of running or hiding. Just of lying very, very still and hoping that the shined shoes belonged to a t-rex dropped in the wrong century.
Time travel. It could be a thing. Apparently it was a thing.
And he was convinced that if he didn't move, it wouldn't see him.
