Maggie didn't exactly comment on what she'd said earlier and that was fine by her. They could move on with all this. Whatever this was. Confusion! Yeah it finally occurred to her that this was confusion. None of it made any sense. Especially when Maggie moved closer to Zeke and thanked him. The blonde thanked him. Zeke. What the heck was going on here? Something strange because then Maggie also went and kissed his cheek. Hady was beyond confused but she managed to keep a straight face not letting anything show. Seriously though had Maggie been bitten by something and she was confused? Cause the girl just didn't seem like herself right now.
And then to make things more complicated it was suggested that Zeke protect her. Hady! No. Just no. She did not need protection. She was way more then capable to handle herself thank you very much. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear Hady focused herself not to glare in Maggie's direction, rather she just looked away from them both for a moment.
Hady wasn't being helpful at all, because it seemed she wasn't able to supply him with any form of explanation for what had just happened. Zeke supposed that was okay, maybe she was just as confused?
Raising a hand subconsciously and rubbing the scruff of his neck, Zeke exhaled the breath he somehow seemed to be holding, and took a moment to look back at the door. He really wasn't concerned anymore, but he WAS wondering when and if the others were coming back. He hoped they were coming back.
It seemed as though his silent questions were being answered, because in second the Headmistress had BURST through the doors... and was YELLING ... LOUDLY.
.... SPOILER!!: Truebridge, Heather and Dakest Quote:

Marching straight through the entrance doors and into the Great Hall, Annie exhaustively threw open the double doors and continued on up to the dais, where she FLUNG herself into her throne chair.
Filling up the nearest goblet with water from her wand, Anastasia gulped down an entire cupful and then bellowed loudly, for all the gathered students and whoever else there, "WHERE IS BOTROS?"
Somebody bring her the Deputy Headmaster. NOW. She started snapping her fingers at the nearest Gryffindor. "Bring the Deputy to me. NOW. PLEASE."
Anastasia Truebridge was NOT moving from this chair until the house elves cleaned this school FREE FROM ALL THE WEBS and also brought her dinner. And Botros. Botros first. Quote:

Unfortunately for her, the seat she had chosen just happened to be near the staff table. And in the same general direction the Headmistress was pointing. Also unfortunately, this particular Gryffindor had had it up to here with Hogwarts at this point herself. So, she'd have to be excused for what came out of her mouth next. "GET HIM YOURSELF, TRUEBRIDGE!!!"
Oops?
Besides, she hadn’t seen said professor in awhile, so yeah. All she knew was that he was here. Or she thought he still was, anyway. "By the way, you have web in your hair."
She didn't normally do so, but Heather joined in with Professor Cassie's snapping now. You know, since their own Headmistress wasn't sending them kudos. Really, everyone involved deserved it, risking their lives like that. Actually, what everyone deserved was a nice, large piece of chocolate cake. Or cheesecake. No, definitely chocolate. Quote:

Perhaps in a few days, it would sink into some sort of understandable memory. Something he could sort through and label. For now, he was interested in herding the remainder of the rescues and rescuers into the Great Hall, right behind the Headmistress and Cassie. The charm casters got an appreciative smile from him.
While the Headmistress got a long look from him as she plopped down, a smile playing on the corner of his lips. She looked in a right mood to hex someone, and yet he couldn't quite help it. "Didn't know you could be tied up, Truebridge."
As in, 'welcome back, glad you are safe'. Totally and completely what he meant.
The half smile showed it as he moved up beside Carrington, his attention diverting to the young woman. Laying a hand on her and Adi's shoulders, he couldn't help but feel sympathetic towards her state. Being back in the castle brought the fatigue full frontal, but there was still the residue of adrenaline that kept him at least outwardly composed. "Best you get to seeing the Healer, Ms Carrington." He didn't need to ask Rehman to stay by the girl's side. It was a no-brainer. He understood it all too well.
Turning to the others joining them, he glanced over them all. "Good work you lot." His attention snagged on Cassie, and he gave her a nod of acknowledgement and if a nod could do such a thing, of thanks.
As for the Deupty Headmaster? Sabel glanced around. He had seen the chap in the Great Hall before they left. He was scanning the faces when his ears decided to yank his head in another direction. "Xanthopoulos!" Sabel's tone came out as a snap. "I believe your hearing may have been damaged during the battle. Your words are coming out a bit....loud. Best if you get it check with the Healer as soon as possible." If the girl thought acromantula's were bad, she was about to be very mistaken by whatever response came from the Headmistress at such an address.
There was no doubt that the Headmistress had an excuse to look like a loud Hag, but did she really have to sound like one too? And WHY was she yelling for Professor Botros like that?
...
A part of him hoped Professor Botros had sense enough to stay wherever he was, because he couldn't see anything NICE coming from this. Redheads had a special way of looking crazy with hair like that.
On top of that, there was Heather, and though her yelling was unnecessary and even rude, it earned a snort from him.... because only a Gryffindor would be brave enough - or thick enough - to come out with a response like that. Hehe. And Sabel's quick quip was just as amusing.
Truth be told, he was pleased to see the troops were back in one piece, or at least, he couldn't SEE any pieces missing.
..
And there was Botros!!!!! .... he wasn't hiding...
Zeke looked back to Hady, and then back to adults. This might be interesting?
