All her Ravenclaws seemed to alright if they were accounted for, but she didn't know if any had been taken. How COULD they get a basilisk? They didn't just appear out of thin air. And they couldn't let one loose in an inhabited castle anyways.

However, his next suggestion was actually practical. Her wand felt sweaty in her palm, but she knew what she had to do. Forcing herself to stop moving, she took three deep, steadying breaths and focused on the happiest memory she could summon: her wedding day. "Expecto Patronum!" her voice thundered.

Three silvery owls vanished through the stone walls of the Great Hall, all headed to Hogsmeade to catch whoever they could find.

She rushed towards Maddox and yelled at him. "Combined spells, Maddox! Teams of Stunners!" That would hold them at bay, but it wouldn't drive them out like a basilisk would.
