Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Turning his stone over in his hand, Henry looked up as the lady who introduced herself as Lynnia Park of the Galloway Ghouls started talking. Hey, he knew that team too, though he couldn't help but wonder if anyone from his team was going to be there too. Dad said they might. While he was thinking this over, he turned to the girl who said her name was Ava. "Well, that's cool," he grinned. "I don't have a brother, but maybe I could beat my big sister." She was way older, so maybe not. But she was all about Quidditch so maybe not as good at Gobstones as he could be.
And as excited as he was to be here, Henry was at least equally excited that his friend Benton was here. "I'm doing great! Mhm," he nodded. "My dad owns one of the teams so we go watch them a lot and I have my own set, so I know the rules and stuff." That wasn't bragging, was it? It was just the truth and it came up so he thought it was okay. "Oh, she's on that team." He pointed to Brynja Dalgaard who just walked in, recognizing her from the games.
Oh, the boy from camp (Cornelius) recognized him too! "YES!" he exclaimed when asked about Quidditch games. "My sister plays for the Catapults." So he could have totally seen him there. "And I remember you from Quidditch Camp too." That was the best time! He squinted at the manager lady as she said how to hold the gobstone, watching her demonstration. Well, he knew how to do that... and his eyes followed Cornelius' gobstone as it flew up into the air. Oops.
Walking over to Lynnia, he practiced holding his gobstone for good measure and said, "Could you show me how to do the eye cordination thing?" Because he knew the basics, but he didn't think he knew that.
