So they were late. LOL.

Usually his dad was early everywhere he went. And that 'usually' always involved his mum reminding them about shirts and trousers so they wouldn't forget before leaving home, but that 'usually' was broken today 'cause Mum had something to tend to. Dad was left to fend for himself and his two youngest children. Although, Cornelius considered himself pretty independent. His baby sister, Mallory, she needed help. All she did was be cute.

As they arrived, Cornelius slapped his leg and tsk'ed up at his dad. "We are late. Ma's not going to be happy."

"Mum doesn't need to know--hold this--about this." Cornelius was handed a baby bottle as Xavier shifted baby Mallory in his arms. "Gimme, please." Now that he had that in order (baby and bottle), Xavier grinned widely at Cornelius. "Have fun. Don't fight. Remember, sharing is winning. And as always, kick butt." He eyed his child. "Not literally."

He didn't need any more educators telling him his only son had shoved someone else into a fountain. Even if the other little dumb nut deserved it. Cornelius needed to learn to back away.

Mallory was getting fussy again. Xavier bent down and kissed Cornelius' head. Yeah, be embarrassed, bud. "Have fun, love you."

WHY DID HE HAVE TO DO THAT?

Manly levels were at the negatives. Where was Rosie when he needed her? She'd thump his arm and make it all better. Or at least level up his manliness to a five. ~~But he said 'I love you' back because he loves his daddy.~~

"I don't know how to play this," he announced, going over to pretty lady (Saxon) and looking up at her with his big, innocent green eyes. "Hi. I'm Cornelius Baltazar, would you please help me?"
