SPOILER!!: Sabel
It was strange. He had hoped that sitting in the Hogs Head in Hogsmeade would be a blast to the past. Things would seem like normal, be back to normal and they could laugh. Make jokes. About stupid things, anything really. Like snow as the reason for grey hair. But Simon's lack of a true smile brought that all crumbling down in a horrible fashion. Really, it had never been in place properly.

Too much had changed. Too much had happened. It was written all over Simon's face.

A slow nod left Sabel as he watched his friend. "Glad to hear it. You'll send her my regards, won't you?" Or were they waiting, for things to settle and the danger to become less real.

As for himself, he shrugged, a small smile touching his lips. "Do you remember when you first learnt your patronus?" A bit off topic, but there was an answer nestled in there somewhere.

Yeah..Simon was failing at keeping this gathering more positive. There was just a lot gong on between them both and it appeared as if they couldn't totally drop it. The mention of his fiance did seem to have some effect, both on Sabel and himself. "Of course..." he assured his friend, his smile brightening a little in reference to the woman. And then there was the curious remark his companion gave in answer. Did he remember the first time he learned his patronus?

"I do indeed." It was, after all a milestone that adults, if not students, made in their defense learning. And full corporeal patronus' like his own made it even more exciting and memoriable. As long as it wasn't a parrot.

His attention was distracted however when Aron stepped through he doors of the Hogs Head, followed soon after by a handful of his employees. The benefits of not keeping your back to the door. A simple outing...or something more. Simon exchanged a glance with Sabel as he tried to decipher what was going on and silently wondering the other man's thoughts on the matter.
