The unmistakable pop that announced the arrival of a house elf immediately caught her attention. They were so cute and AJ really wanted one even if Professor Thompson insisted it would be practically impossible.
Why would an elf suddenly appear? They didn't usually just do that in the middle of the lesson without some sort of agenda...
Sniff. Sniff.
That was tacos. She would know that smell anywhere. A plate of hot, juicy and mouth watering inducing tacos were set before her.
"For me?" But the elf was gone before she could get the words out.
Tacos, tacos, tacos.
AJ rubbed her hands together and contemplated on which one looked the meatiest. With a lick of her lips, she went in two handed but...
Good thing he wasn't her because she was going to inhale them. Who would go around poisoning tacos? Why waste delicious food? Better yet who would want to poison AJ? She was a super fun girl.
Brushing off his worries, she was attempting to once again grab a taco. Then something he said made her eye twitch.
"Let me? Let me?" she spluttered. Was he dropped on his head as a child? AJ did not need permission from Adi to do anything.
If she hadn't of been so consumed with his little comment insinuating that she would let someone dictate what went in her mouth, she would have noticed that he was just concerned about her well being. As it was she just saw him as trying to come between her and a tasty treat.
No tacos for Cutty.
AJ just stared at the boyfriend. She was trying to figure out when he and Cutty became her keepers. They were not going to stop her from eating the tacos... no matter what they said.
"Try and stop me..." They were just a meat filled present. Stop raining on her taco parade. He too was just looking out for her well being, but she couldn't see that at the moment. She was looking through taco colored glasses.
No tacos for Adi either.
At least Eden wasn't trying to tell her how to live her life. AJ nodded in agreement. The Ravenclaw had a point. That kind of logic was how she probably got put in the house known for their smarts.
"You DID save my life." She would never forget and AJ would always have her back.
"I'll totally share with you. I'll even let you have second pick." After her of course. Let's not get crazy here.
Umm... did AJ need help with her tacos? Nope. She was good. In fact, she would have no problem shoveling them all into her mouth. That was really nice of him to offer though. A second hand COULD come in handy though. Taco meat was tricky business.
Oh wait. He wanted a taco. Duh! It was hard to concentrate when the beefy goodness was wafting about and clouding her brain.
"You can have one too, buddy." It wasn't every day someone was so open to farting with you in class. How could she not do him a solid?
All right. Let's simmer down over there, Lux. AJ suddenly was feeling all mama bear over her tacos, and here Lux was trying to get her to share with the whole class.
"I'll give you one, too." she whispered to her Hufflepuff friend. Now, stop being a share bear with my tacos. It was funny that when it came down to tacos she all of a sudden became a mathematician. AJ was very friendly and she loved to share, buuuut these were her absolute favorite.
SPOILER!!: Taco thief
Well, she’d had class attention until tacos happened and truth be told, now Moxley was distracted as well. TACOS. They smelled lovely, they looked lovely, and they made Moxley wish she had a plate for herself. The brunette found that she was suddenly making her way over to Ms. Valentine, her stomach rumbling as she did. She was just…going to investigate, okay? Especially after what Mr. Mordaunt had said.
”CLASS, ATTENION!” That meant to be quiet, FYI. ”I’m just going to…keep watch over these tacos for the rest of the lesson, and if Ms. Valentine feels like sharing once class has ended, she’s certainly free to do so.” The Muggle Studies Professor then picked up the plate and took a sniff, her nostrils filling with taco-y goodness. Mm. The smile was immediate. AHEM. ”Don’t worry, Ms. Valentine. I’ll be sure they stay warm.” There were charms for that, y’know. And so Moxley made her way back to the front, setting the plate of Tacos on Tiara’s desk for safe keeping.
All of the taco defending and math calculations had only led to her getting ZERO tacos because before she had a chance to nom them Moxley was making her way over.
Oh no. The look on her face spelled trouble for her tacos. Instinctively AJ tried to shield the beauties with her body, but it was no use. Moxley had snatched them up.
She figured that the Muggle Studies professor would have understood and let her eat them right then and there. Disappointment was written all over her face.
"Just one little nibble?" Apparently not. At the very least, she had promised to keep them warm.
"Thanks..." for nothing.
SPOILER!!: Tanner
Tiara had thought AJ would rather enjoy those tacos she had sent for.. until Professor Moxley stole them. But it was during her section of the lesson, so Tiara supposed there wasn't much she could do about it. Catching AJ's eye, she mouthed SORRY in her direction. Hopefully they wouldn't all be gone by the end of class. Meredith looked a bit hungry up there.
Well, Tiara may be a muggleborn, but she saw no reason not to join in on the sketching activity. Making her way up front to her desk where the stolen tacos resided, she grabbed a piece of parchment, inkwell, and quill. Scribble, scratch, sccraaaaaape. After a minute or so, she had a reasonable likeness of what Meredith had shown the students. Not bad!
In mid sulk, AJ looked over to where her tacos waited for her. Just as she counted the last taco (we don't fully trust Moxley) her eyes made contact with her Arithmancy professor.
Sorry?
Ohhh... the floating parchment. It all made sense now. Tanner had given her the tacos. AJ absolutely beamed up at her new favorite professor. 'Thank you' she mouthed back. Professor Tanner could have as many tacos as she wanted. This was the greatest gift ever. The only thing that would make this any better would be if Moxley had some manners. HMPF!
Now she needed to draw a phone, but she was still majorly distracted. She wanted her tacos, and she wanted them now. Picking up her quill she began her sketch.
Pretty much she just made a huge rectangle and made little squares inside that would be her apps. She drew a picture of a phone for the icon that represented the call button. On the side of her paper she drew tacos and sad faces.
