| finally getting around to posting *hides* Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict It had never happened before, and yet Jemma had chosen that morning to be clingy and refuse to be left at the daycare as she’d usually done. Amethyst had known she couldn’t bring her to her desk, too, not with the meeting scheduled, but she’d also been unable to just leave her daughter until she’d known she’d be alright. As such, the meeting had already started by the time she had gotten to the office and over to the conference room. At least, she assumed it had as she’d silently slipped inside while one of the new employees had been introducing herself, after Delphine had spoken to, as she’d guessed, start things off.
This was definitely not the introduction she would have liked, yet it was what she would have to deal with. Although, she wasn’t planning on making certain things known to everyone on the level this early. Not when she didn’t have to, and as she thought about it, which might have been part of what had bothered Jemma that morning too. It wasn’t anything she could change, though. Or, she could, but she didn’t have it in her to do so. That was why she’d never been an auror. Although she didn’t think they would necessarily have it in them to do that either.
She remained standing, however as Ms. Manning and another finished speaking. “I apologize for being late,” she began, nodding slightly to acknowledge everyone who was in the room. “My daughter was being stubborn.” Anyway… “I’m Amethyst McCrae. I’m an administration supervisor here…My father was Scottish, yet I was born in France. Prior to coming here, I worked at the American Ministry, as well, in MLE.” Introduction complete, although she could have said a lot more. Instead, she merely took a seat and waited for whoever would speak next.
