Hogwarts RPG Name:
Kiana Desiree Remora
Fifth Year
Default
two sides of the same coin

She may have been able to quickly pick up how to 'use' muggle technology, but how it 'worked' was another thing entirely. She had just accepted a long time ago that it was a strange non-magical magic that wasn't to be questioned. She certainly didn't know anything about cell towers; she'd heard her dad grumbling about the unreliability of muggle inventions, could he simply have lost service? And what was this about turning her voice into electricity? or waves? electric waves? Still sounded rather magical to her..

Speaking of, a house elf with a plate of tacos definitely just strolled past her desk, set the plate down in front of the wrong person (Desiree was hungry and those looked delicious, if slightly suspicious), and disappeared. She'd seen stranger things.

Regaining her focus she noted her classmates had most of the obvious answers covered. Zhenya made an especially interesting point, muggle surveillance... she'd never really thought about that. This was more of a personal opinion but, "Well, since it is so convenient a lot of people don't make the effort to write to each other anymore, which is a little sad. Getting a text from your friend just isn't the same, it doesn't make you quite as.. happy." Because they put effort into the letter, it's more meaningful, you know? and you can hold the parchment in your hands- Desiree was just a big fan of letters. Of course texting was nice, but the professor wanted negatives.
