Standing her in front of this griffin, Kate was suddenly reminded of how thankful she was to be back at Hogwarts. She'd dreamed of this school all her life, and she'd almost not only lost her time at the school, but also her father. "Better times," she whispered to Chad.

Kate ended the drying spell and put away her wand. She then retrieved the blanket she'd had earlier and brought it to the griffin. "You keep this around you, and you'll stay nice and warm," she told it. "Get comfortable, and I'm going to make you a raw meat meal, just how you like it."

That was when Kate looked over at Caleb and noticed all the fun he and his griffin seemed to be having. "Awesome!" she said. "Do you have any more of those?" Sure, Kate was going to feed Chad soon, but maybe later, after a short nap, he'd like to play fetch. "I didn't know griffins liked to play fetch. He looks like he's having an awesome time."

Caleb chuckled and shook his head. "Nah, sorry, just the one. But I'm sure an old bunch of socks tied together to make a rope would do nicely," he suggested with a shrug. "I mean, you're welcome to try and borrow Sven's but...I don't think he'll let go," he remarked with a grin as he looked back at his griffin, who was chewing happily on the rope in the corner.

Now that he had him distracted, it was time to get to work and do some good old fashioned cleaning. Griffins were cute but man, could they make a mess! He pulled out his wand and took a few steps back, pointing at the mess and shouting "Scourgify!" watching as all the mess and debris vanished without a trace. All that was left was some hay, which he could easily sweep up into a corner. Which is just what he did - there was a broom resting against the pen, so he picked it up and made a nice little hay pile in the corner for Sven. If he wanted to burrow in it or whatever griffins did with hay...
