I-" But he was cut off, because yelling meant that Culloden could easily get the candy into his mouth. Toby stalled and coughed, surprised, but he'd already swallowed the sugary sweet cure.
At first, he thought nothing would happen, but then all at once he felt a tingling from the disappearing werewolf hair, and when he ran his tongue over his teeth, Toby found they were back to normal. And, MOST importantly, the aggression, the need to attack... it had mercifully disappeared. Toby was hugely relieved.
Of course, with that gone, but with Toby remembering everything, it left more emotions in its place. STRONG emotions, and unpleasant ones at that. The Hufflepuff looked at Culloden, nothing short of devastated about what he'd tried to do only moments earlier, and then quickly away. He'd have run off, but the spell was still in effect. He needed to get out of it. "Sir... Professor, will you let me go... please?" Toby asked, his voice very quiet, still not looking at him. Markedly different from the weretobes of a few moments before.
Once again, he felt ASHAMED. For different reasons, this time, but still... he felt it. No? As if it wasn't him yelling he didn't want to be a werewolf only a moment ago. Good thing he accepted the candies without much difficulty. Cosgrach let him transform and breathe. He barely heard what he said. It was hard to hear, but he offered the boy a small smile. "Sure," he said and lifted the charm, then offered him a hand to pull him up. "You okay?" It had a deeper meaning than just 'did the transform hurt?' (because Cosgrach knew it wouldn't). He hoped the boy was. |
