It Valentine's Day and he was kind of a cheesy little sap, so naturally he was coming out here with Val with a giant picnic basket and blanket with all their favorite foods. It was a debate between this or a fancy sit-down place, but a casual but nice picnic one. Even if it wasn't terribly warm yet, it was still pleasant out. And they could keep each other warm if needed to.

"A little farther," James answered, lugging the basket a few feet further to a less-lumpy grass spot. Then he set the basket down and grabbed the blanket by the corners and spread it out on the grass for them. James plopped down on the blanket, legs criss-cross and looked up at his beau with a wide grin, patting the empty spot beside him.
