I actually have two names. My birth name that my parents gave me is Yeo Yoong Gi as I was born in South Korea. Yeo stands for mildness , Yoon for soft and Gi for rise. I don’t know who named me this way as I don’t have many memories of my parents. No, they did not die. I was adopted at a young age because my parents were having financial problems and could no longer take care of me. I was adopted by the Hyland family and went to live in England. Here, my adopting parents named me Yoongi Hyland. In this case, Yoongi can mean two things and yes, it is different in English. It can either mean Shine or Red Pearl. I prefer The Shining Red Pearl. I wasn’t named after anyone, at least not that I know of. I don’t have a nickname here at Hogwarts but at home, my sisters call me either Giraffe because I have a pretty long neck… or Curious Yoongi because I always want to know what is happening. Anyways, how I feel about my name? I like it. It sounds cute when you say it and cool when looking up the meaning.
