"Thornton, Hi." Maddie smiled a little at the younger Ravenclaw, happy to have the company. His company in particular meant a lot these days, considering. She was just really glad that he was back in her life because it didn't feel right when they weren't talking and she didn't like fighting with him, if that's what you could call the awkwardness and hurt feelings that had happened. "Not really. I was just browsing, I guess. This place looks a bit worse for wear, doesn't it?" She made no effort to talk quietly because in all honesty, she hoped the shopkeeper would hear and do something about the smell, at the very least.

"What about you?" The fifteen year old nudged the boy gently. "Shopping for anything in particular?"
