Not until they were out, and even then, it was questionable as to the wisety of such a thing.
Stopping beside her, Rhydian watched the vines regrow over the latest hole, half expecting to see those dark eyes watching out from the growing twigs and leaves. He could imagine them there, though he didn't actually see anything. The memory was potent enough.
His stomach did a flip of protest at Lex's suggestion, forcing him to swallow a fresh bought of bile. How could she think of eating after such an ordeal?
Which made him wonder, who was it? That little girl? That man? The questions prodded him among the assuage of visual images from the maze, from the past. It was starting to make his head hurt. He squinted at her, finding her features a little blurry around the edges.
"Alright." He hoped his voice didn't sound as small as he felt. Hoped his hands would stop shaking soon, but just in case, he stuffed them in his pockets. "Good...job on getting us out...."
He didn't look so good, not at all. Whatever he saw, that man, it must have really had him spooked. Boggarts did that, they showed you the thing you feared the most. For her it was a little different, she was in relatively regular contact with the thing she feared most. It was usually a constant hum in the back of her mind unless she found something to distract her. Work. Wandering. Didn't matter.
For that reason alone recovery wasn't such a hard road for her. It was all a matter of distraction so she wouldn't think about it. That was where the food would come in, even if it didn't look like her partner would be able to stomach much of anything...
Really, was he alright?
"Thanks....explosions are kinda my thing..."
With his pockets stuck deep into his pockets, Lex contented herself with folding her arms and nodding back toward the table filled with boring conversation. It was safe there and that was where they were heading.
